My Coursework

Below are examples of coursework I completed at the University of Oklahoma, highlighting my skills in media strategy, content creation, equity focused communication and more.

For my ad design class, I created a campaign for the brand Crap Eyewear. I made digital, print, and experiential ads for the campaign. For this I used Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Indesign.

The short case study book, designed with Adobe InDesign, immediately draws attention to the storytelling and detailed research my partner Becca Maffei and I devoted throughout the winter semester of 2024. This case study book encapsulates our project’s relevance and the practical skills applied in real-world public relations research and communication.

For my PR Design class, I created a newsletter design project focused on Billboard Music, using Adobe InDesign to develop a visually engaging and professional publication. The newsletter features bold typography, dynamic imagery, and a clean, organized layout that effectively conveys industry news, artist highlights, and upcoming events. This project enabled me to apply key graphic design principles within a strategic communication context, demonstrating my skills in both creative design and audience-focused messaging. The experience showcases my ability to blend aesthetic appeal with functional communication, essential for real-world public relations work.

For my Media Relations class, I collaborated with four classmates to develop a mini-mock campaign pitch designed to simulate real-world public relations practice, for Route 66 Centennial. Our team conducted research, crafted strategic messaging, and designed persuasive communication materials aimed at a specific target audience. This project enhanced my skills in teamwork, media strategy development, and pitch delivery, providing practical experience in coordinating a campaign from concept to presentation.

In my PR Research class, I collaborated with four classmates to conduct a comprehensive survey, analyze the findings, and develop a detailed research report. Our team collectively interpreted the data to identify key behaviors and insights towards making Narcan available on campus. We then presented discussion points and actionable suggestions based on the survey results to inform HarborPath. This project enhanced my research skills, data analysis proficiency, and ability to translate quantitative findings into practical recommendations within a collaborative setting, showcasing my capacity for evidence-based decision making in public relations.
